You may be able to enter into a payment plan, which will allow you to either pay by instalments, or to pay the amount owing at a later date.

It's important that you speak with the ATO as soon as possible, as you may be charged penalties including interest if you fail to pay on time. This interest usually starts being charged from the due date until the amount is paid in full.
