What data is imported to Airtax?
Airtax imports your income and expense data for the BAS period you’re completing your lodgement for.
How do I know the data is correct?
Airtax is designed by PwC accountants and a team of web specialists who know where your data needs to go for you to complete your BAS properly and easily. This means your data always goes into the right place. Airtax has undergone rigorous testing on all data connection points. We also have built in checks to make sure your data is imported correctly.
Does Airtax import ALL my data for the BAS period I am lodging?
- Airtax only imports the income or expenses which have GST included. Any records which don't have GST won't be imported.
- Sometimes you will have income or expense records that contain parts with GST and parts without GST. In this case, Airtax only imports the part of the income or expense that contains GST because you can only claim this part of the income or expense in your BAS. Car registration is often an example of this.
Why are the expenses or income i’m seeing in Airtax different from those I’ve created or used in Rounded?
Airtax takes the categories you’ve assigned or created in Rounded and reassigns them to the categories we need to, to do your BAS. These aren’t always the same, and that’s because we use categories that we think you might have expenses for based on your profession. If you see categories with $0 expenses in there, that’s fine. You don’t need to put expenses in every category. We just want to show you all the available categories so you don’t miss anything you could be claiming.
We also only import your income or expenses from Rounded that have GST on them. If your Rounded income or expenses don't have GST then we don't import them into your BAS. Sometimes you will have income or expenses that contain parts with GST and parts without GST. In this case, we only import the part of the income or expense that contains GST because you can only claim this part of the income or expense in your BAS. Car registration is often an example of this.
What happens if I have additional expenses that aren’t in Rounded?
No problem. When you review your BAS expenses you have the option to add or edit expenses.
Do I need to connect my account every time I do my BAS?
No, you only have to connect your account, and then you’ll always be connected.
