If you use Square to take customer payments, doing your tax is easy with Airtax. When you connect your Airtax account with your Square account, Airtax will import your payments and processing fees from your Square account making it much quicker for you to complete your BAS or your income tax return.
Connecting is easy
Create an Airtax account (or login to your existing account) with Airtax
You'll then be taken to your Airtax dashboard where you'll see a prompt at the bottom of the page to enter your Square credentials. You only have to enter your details once and we’ll save them securely for next time.
Note: At this point you'll be asked to confirm whether your Square payments contain GST or not. You should choose yes or no to continue. Read our FAQs for more information on this.
Open a BAS or an income tax return for the period you want to lodge
Next to the income field on your BAS you’ll see a Square button
Click on the Sync Square Income button and Airtax will directly pull your Square payments and processing fees for the period straight from Square. If you return to your BAS later and want to update your payment information, just sync again, and your data will be updated.
Then, all your have to do is enter your expenses into your BAS and you’re ready to lodge. Airtax takes care of the rest. Create your account here.
